Bloomington Police say they have arrested two Bloomington men on sex abuse charges stemming from separate cases involving children.
Officers from the Bloomington Police Street Crimes Unit and the U.S. Marshal’s Great Lakes Regional Task Force on Thursday announced the arrests of Josue Rodriguez-Soto, 40, and Juan J. Lorenzo, 41.
Prosecutors have filed 20 counts of criminal sexual assault and aggravated sexual abuse against Rodriguez-Soto for a case involving a minor victim between the ages of 13 and 18. They have filed eight counts of predatory criminal sexual abuse against Lorenzo in a case that involves a victim younger than 13.
Bloomington Police spokesman John Fermon said both defendants are accused of abusing one victim over a period of several years. Prosecutors said both men knew their victims.
Both are being held in the McLean County jail on $1 million bond.
