Bloomington Police Department
Bloomington Police have released images of a suspect accused of criminal sexual abuse on June 25.

Bloomington Police have released images of a suspect wanted for an alleged sexual abuse committed in broad daylight.
BPD said a Hispanic male who appeared to be in late 20s or early 30s sexually abused someone under 17 years of age on Front Street between Center and Madison streets downtown at about 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25.

Police said the suspect was wearing a red lanyard around his neck, possibly with a key on it.

Police haven't said if the suspect knew if the victim or if it was a random attack.

The department asks anyone with information on the case to contact detective Steve Fanelli at (309) 434-2457 or sfanelli@cityblm.org.

If you wish to remain anonymous, call McLean County Crime Stoppers at (309) 828-1111. Anyone who offers a tip that leads to an arrest and indictment may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
