Doctor Pleads Not Guilty In Sexual Assault Case

A 36-year-old Bloomington doctor has pleaded not guilty to charges he sexually assaulted a woman with a disability last month.

Shaun Kink entered the not-guilty plea during his arraignment Friday at the McLean County courthouse. He was represented by Springfield defense attorney Peter Wise.

Kink is accused of aggravated criminal sexual assault. He allegedly assaulted the woman Dec. 5 in Bloomington, court records show. Kink’s relationship to the woman has not been released.

Kink is a foot and ankle specialist at McLean County Orthopedics. He was placed on leave from the medical staff at OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, and his privileges were suspended at Advocate Health Care’s facilities.

Kink remains free on bond. He is due back in court for a status hearing March 2.
