In June of 1958, she married Jim Beauford.  She later married Larry Jewett in February, 1967.

Survivors include her children; Debby Beauford Troyanovich, Cathy Beauford Thomas, Michael (Beth) Beauford and Gary Jewett.  She was blessed with 9 grandchildren: Nicole (Elliot), Daniel (Amy), Michael, Taylor, Allyson (Tom), Tori (Vince), Jackson, Blaise and Lacey.  She was very proud of her 11 great-grandchildren: Camden, Brayden, Max, Jack, Wiley, Sam, Coleman, Emerson, Tatum, Lennox and Rowan.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her brother Wayne Niepagen, sister-in-law Jean Niepagen, Jim Beauford and Larry Jewett.

Carol graduated in 1958 from Bloomington High School and joined the family business, Original Niepagen Flower Shop.  In the Fall of 1979, she took over the business until her retirement.  Carol was an exceptional flower designer, and her favorite flower was a red rose.

Attending her grandchildren's sporting events, vacationing in Florida, cheering on the Bears and the Chiefs, but mostly, spending time with her family were some of her favorite things.  While raising her family, she was an amazing cook but in later years she hung up her apron and enjoyed eating out.  Her family will always remember their Sunday dinners when they all lived at home.

There will be a visitation from 9:00-10:30, Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Carmody Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.  Immediately following, there will be a funeral service.  In honor of Carol’s lifelong career in the floral business, floral prints are encouraged. A private family burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.

Memorials may be made to the Penguin Project of McLean County.  This organization benefits children with specials needs.
