Karen Sue Jordan, 83, of Normal, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
Her visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2025, at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, and will be followed by a service at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ray Owens officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Karen was born September 13, 1941, in McLean, the daughter of Dean and Dorothy (Orrick) Walters. She married Phillip D. Jordan on May 6, 1988, and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2011.
Survivors include two children, Cindy Gibson and Douglas (Angie) Kaufman; a son-in-law, Brian Ervin, a sister, Sandy (Ed) Sympson and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sherry (Ron) Aper, a daughter, Carmen Ervin and a son-in-law, William Gibson.
Karen graduated from McLean High School. She and Phil enjoyed vacationing to Branson, Missouri and winters in Arizona. Karen was an Illini basketball fan and collected Beanie Babies and Hummel Figurines. To express condolences online, please visit www.carmodyflynn.com.
