Beth Porter

Beth Porter joined WGLT in February 2025 and leads the station’s business operations.

Since June 2019, she has been a part of Illinois State University, serving as administrative aide at the Center for Civic Engagement. Her background includes over 17 years at the Heyworth Public Library, with 9 years as the library director.

Beth has served as an ISU Civil Service Council representative for the last four years. She held the position of secretary for the first three years and now serves as the council’s treasurer.

Beth graduated from ISU with a degree in political science and is a first-generation graduate. Two of her three sons are ISU Redbird Legacy alums, with the third currently serving in the U.S. Navy.
