GLT's Sound Ideas: 4/29/16

Millennials are currently the largest generation in the United States. In the Town of Normal, Millennials aged 18-34 make up more than 50% of the population. Hear a Executive Director of the McLean County Regional Planning Commission, Vasu Pinnamaraju. April is National Poetry Month. To mark this year's celebration, WGLT asked some local poets to share the poems that first inspired in them a love of poetry. We'll hear favorite poems from Susan Baller  Shepard, a writer and Presbyterian minister; Jeremy Scott, a poet and English professor at Heartland Community College; Sydney Torain, a Chinese major at Heartland; and GLT's own Judy Valente. Other groups such as Easter Seals do respite nights for families, autism friendly sports camps, autism based bible school, and other activities.
