Polls closed at 7 p.m. Tuesday as primary voters chose which two candidates for Bloomington mayor will advance to the ballot on April 4.
Incumbent Tari Renner is trying to fend off four challengers: former radio talk show host Ian Bayne, retired Bloomington firefighter Robert Fike, Ward 8 Alderman Diana Hauman from southeast Bloomington, and Ward 1 Alderman Kevin Lower from south Bloomington.
The top two finishers in Tuesday’s primary will advance to the consolidated election on April 4.
