A 34th McLean County resident has died from COVID-19 complications. The woman in her 80s was a resident of a long-term care facility.

Her death continues a string of deaths tied to Bloomington-Normal nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The McLean County Health Department (MCHD) reported three other deaths tied to a long-term care facility last week.

MCHD confirmed 147 new cases over the weekend, pushing the county's total to 4,170 since the start of the pandemic.

The active caseload sits at 372. There are currently 11 patients hospitalized with COVID-19—none are in intensive care.

An additional 75 people completed quarantine over the weekend and are now considered recovered.

The county's testing positivity rate is now 4.9%, up half a percentage point from Friday.
