Ferrero is hosting a drive-thru COVID-19 testing clinic Tuesday through Thursday this week.

Two additional COVID-19 mobile testing sites are coming this week to Bloomington-Normal.
The Ferraro candy plant, 2501 Beich Road, Bloomington, plans to host a three-day free mobile testing site. It will be open from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, and from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.

The drive-thru site is open to Ferrero employees and the community.

“Helping to safeguard the health of our employees and our neighbors is important and we are honored to work with local and state officials to bring this service to the residents of Bloomington,” said Federico Forti, vice president of industrial operations at the Ferrero facility in Bloomington.

The site can accommodate up to 300 tests for the general public daily, according to a news release from the city of Bloomington.

"We applaud Ferrero USA for their efforts in partnering with the state to offer this additional COVID testing option in our community," said City Manager Tim Gleason. "This speaks volumes to Ferrero USA's character as a corporate citizen and community partner and the contributions they have and will continue to make to Bloomington. They truly are an asset to our city."

Another testing site has been set up at the Illinois State University Alumni Center parking lot, 1101 N. Main St., Normal. The site will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday this week.

The testing site is open to the community (including ISU faculty and staff), but ISU officials said students are encouraged to continue using the testing sites on campus.

The testing site at the Interstate Center in Bloomington remains open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
