BPD Seek Information On Armed Robbery Suspects

Credit Bloomington Police Department

Bloomington Police are asking the public’s help in identifying two men caught on camera Thursday morning robbing a local business.

Security tapes show the suspects entered an employee-only area at a business on the 2300 block of East Oakland Avenue. The men threatened a worker at knifepoint and demanded money and the employee’s cell phone.

Video footage identifies the robbers as two black men in their mid-20s to early 30s dressed in all black with reflective construction vests.

BPD describes one man as heavy set and the other as average set and wearing what appears to be safety glasses.

Bloomington Police ask anyone with information to contact BPD at (309) 820-8888 or McLean County Crime Stoppers at (309) 828-1111. Police say if the information provided leads to an arrest, the caller may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
