Bradley University will no longer require students to submit their standardized test scores to be considered for admission.
The policy begins for undergraduate students applying to attend Bradley in the fall 2021 semester. The university said in a statement Wednesday the decision was made after a year-long study looked at how accurate a predictor SAT and ACT scores were in "predicting success" at Bradley.
“We hope that this new test-optional policy helps Bradley provide greater access to a broader, more diverse applicant pool of students who would be an excellent academic fit for Bradley and contribute to the vibrancy of our campus community,” said Justin Ball, Vice President for Enrollment Management in prepared remarks.
Bradley University said the decision should also help COVID-19 impacted high school students who may not have taken the standardized tests previously scheduled for this spring.
