A family argument turned into a police standoff in Bloomington Monday night.

A man pointed a gun at a juvenile during a family argument Monday night, Bloomington Police said.

Officers arrested Franklin Sandoval, 34, after a standoff of more than an hour. Phone conversations convinced Sandoval to come outside, police said. The juvenile had fled the residence during the argument.

Police seized several firearms and ammunition.

Sandoval faces several counts including having guns and ammo without a FOID card and unlawful use of weapons by having a rifle with a barrel less than 16 inches long and a shotgun with a barrel less than 18 inches long.
