The 38th Annual Taste of Peoria is happening today at Northwoods Mall.
This year’s event features 30 local restaurants offering such samplings as fried chicken, tamales, tacos, pizza and pork chops.
Admission is $2. Gates open at 4 p.m . A shuttle will run around the mall parking lot until 9 p.m.
The event is hosted in the parking lot behind J.C. Penney’s. The Taste of Peoria was moved from its previous location on the riverfront due to anticipated construction along the Murray Baker Bridge over the next few years.
All proceeds raised will go towards the Peoria Area Community Events Santa Parade.
