Bloomington Police are investigating three shooting incidents late Wednesday and early Thursday within a few blocks of each other. One person was injured.
The first shooting happened around 6:10 p.m. near Chestnut Street and Roosevelt Avenue, police said. Someone shot at a vehicle driving in the area, injuring the driver. He was treated and released from Carle BroMenn Medical Center. Two other vehicles were also struck by gunfire, police said.
About six hours later, someone opened fire at an occupied residence in the 600 block of West Mulberry Street, police said. No one was hit.
Then at around 3:50 a.m., shots were fired at a residence and vehicle in the 400 block of West Graham Street. No one was injured.
Police say they don't know if the shootings are related. They all took place within about eight blocks of each other, just northwest of downtown Bloomington.
