Heart of Illinois ABC morning anchor Donnie Tillman was arrested Saturday for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Illinois State Police arrested Tillman for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving 21-25 miles above the speed limit, improper lane usage, and illegal transportation of alcohol.
He was released from the Peoria County Jail on Saturday on $100 bond. The DUI charge indicates a blood-alcohol content (BAC) under .08, the legal limit.
Tillman, 38, came to Heart of Illinois ABC in March after a stint at WICS-TV in Springfield. He also previously anchored the morning news on WMBD. He started his career at WHOI in 2006.
Tillman did not appear on Monday's broadcast of Good Morning Illinois, the Heart of Illinois ABC morning news program.
Heart of Illinois ABC General Manager Mark DeSantis declined comment.
