LaHood Says Trump Impeachment Is "Witch Hunt By the Democrats"

Republican Congressman Darin LaHood says he won't vote to impeach President Donald Trump.

LaHood said he doesn't see grounds for removing the president. He called impeachment a partisan move by House Democrats.

"This has been so partisan that it's really been a witch hunt by the Democrats. Many of these folks, from the time the president came in in 2016, have been really fixated on impeaching him," he said.

LaHood says it should be up to the people to decide whether or not to keep Trump in the Oval Office in 10 months...not Congress.

The House Judiciary Committee passed two articles of impeachment on a party line vote. It moves to the full House next week.

He spoke to media Friday while ringing a Salvation Army bell outside the East Peoria Walmart.
