Man, 18, Arrested In Attempted Murder In Normal

Normal PD arrested a man on Friday in connection with a shooting this week on Orlando Avenue.

Police in Normal are seeking attempted murder charges against an 18-year-old for allegedly shooting a man at an apartment on Orlando Avenue in Normal.The Normal Police Department said Friday officers arrested Omarr Parks-Bullock of Normal in connection with the shooting.

Police said he faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery, aggravated discharge of a firearm, having an invalid FOID card and reckless discharge of a firearm.

Police were called to the apartment at 710 W. Orlando Ave. shortly before 3 p.m. Monday for a reported shooting. Police said the victim was taken for Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal. Police said the man was able to talk with officers at the scene before he was taken to the hospital. His condition is not known.

Parks-Bullock is being held in the McLean County Jail.

NPD said Bloomington Police Department's street crimes unit assisted in making the arrests.
