Midwest Food Bank is helping Texas residents recover from recent flooding.
The food bank sent a truck load of family food boxes to south Texas from its warehouse in Normal earlier this week, at the Salvation Army's request. It plans to send another truckload on Monday.

The food boxes contain enough nonperishable food to feed a family of four for 4 to 5 days.

“We’re blessed to be able to provide relief for those suffering in Texas,” said Tara Ingham, Executive Director of MFB Bloomington-Normal. “For those wishing to help, financial donations give Midwest Food Bank the flexibility to quickly and efficiently respond to the needs of the flood victims.”

Midwest Food Bank is accepting donationson its website.
