One of the individuals injured in a shooting in northwest Peoria Saturday night has been arrested in connection with the crime.

Police responded to the 4000 block of W. Virden around 10:30 p.m. There was a party at the house when a fight started and shots were fired.

Breanna Kelly, 29, was found inside the house with a gunshot wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said she likely died instantly.

A man with a gunshot wound to the leg was also found inside the house. He was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

A third victim, 35-year-old Nicholas Pannell, was also discovered when police pulled over a speeding vehicle on Big Hollow Road. Pannell was identified as a suspect in the shooting and remained in police custody during his hospitalization. On Sunday, Pannell was transported to Peoria County Jail on battery and murder charges.

Peoria police also arrested Marco Brown, 35, for murder, two counts of aggravated battery, and one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm in connection with the shootings.

Police are requesting any home or business surveillance video that may shed additional light on the incident.
