A Peoria man is dead in the city's 18th homicide of 2019.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Peoria police officers responded to the 1300 block of W. Kettelle around 8:30 p.m. Sunday on a ShotSpotter alert of 10 rounds.
23-year-old Kennard "Ken" Hardy II was found lying in the area with multiple gunshot wounds. He died at the intensive care unit at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center around 12:45 a.m. Monday.
Harwood said an autopsy is planned. It is not clear how many times Hardy was shot.
There is no suspect information available.
