Q&A: Mayor Renner On New Budget, Garage Repairs, And Falling Utility Tax Revenue

The Bloomington City Council is nearing the finish line on next year's budget.

No major tax or fee increases are planned in the $230 million spending plan. But the city is planning to kick in more money for roadwork and start design on a new pool at O'Neil Park.

WGLT's Ryan Denham spoke with Tari Renner about another expense: $1.3 million dollars for repairs to the nearly half-century old Market Street parking garage downtown.
