State Opens Up COVID-19 Testing Sites To All

The federally-funded COVID-19 testing site at the Peoria Civic Center parking lot is now open to everyone.The state lifted restrictions limiting testing only to symptomatic people or certain categories of people without symptoms on Thursday.The Illinois Department of Public Health recommends anyone who attended a protest or gathering over the last week to get tested. Testing is free daily. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Peoria testing site can give up to 250 tests per day. 

The Heartland Health Services testing sites at the East Bluff, Peoria City/County Health Department, and in Pekin also remain open on certain days. Those sites administer tests to all adults.
