State Week: What the COVID-19 Pandemic Might Mean for Illinois’ Finances

Concerns over the Illinois state budget are growing with the increasing impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic on the nation’s economy. 

Guests on the program this week are Ken Kriz, Distinguished Professor of Public Administration and Director of the Institute for Illinois Public Finance at the University of Illinois Springfield, and Amanda Kass, Associate Director of the Government Finance Research Center  at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  They helped author a report from the University of Illinois’ Institute of Government and Public Affairs that analyzes the impact of the coronavirus on Illinois finances:
