  • Jacki visits the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto, Canada, a specialized museum containing 10,000 shoes from throughout history. Included in the exhibit is a 5,000 year old wood-shaped Egyptian shoe, and the shoes worn by former First Lady Pat Nixon to the 1973 inaugural ball. The museum's founder, Sonja Bata has spent the past 40 years collecting the majority of the shoes. She says on the surface footwear is an indication of personal taste and style but viewed chronologically shoes can hold the key to human identity.

O'Daugherty during his time in prison became committed to peace and opposed to the methods employed by the IRA. He now works with young people doing video and film projects and tries to make them understand that violence is not an appropriate response to the political situation in Northern Ireland. O'Daugherty has written a book about his experiences, 'The Volunteer', which is published by HarperCollins.

Kuttab says the bombings have placed Arafat in a delicate political position, in which he must balance Israel's demands for a crackdown on the militant Hamas organization and appearing like he is more concerned about Israeli security than the rights of his own people.
