As part of Teach For America Week, Scott Simon visits a fourth grade classroom to teach students about his job in public radio.
On the Ground
More than 100 people were injured today and at least three killed in continuing violence between Israelis and Palestinians. Yesterday the U.N. General Assembly condemned Israel's excessive use of force against Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza. Host Lisa Simeone speaks with NPR's Mike Shuster in Jerusalem
TV Cooks
Authors promoting their books often travel from city to city stopping for interviews at as many broadcast outlets as possible. For chefs with new cookbooks this means more than being able to talk about their work, it means being able to demonstrate it on camera. Media guru Lisa Ekus runs a T.V. kitchen training ground for chefs ready for the big time.
Cole Attack
Details about the bombing of the USS Cole in Aden port in Yemen are emerging. Some of these details contradict the Navy's version. Scott speaks with New York Times reporter John Burns.
Alien Property
Scott explores the role of the Alien Property Custodian with John Bendix, researcher for the Presidential Advisory on Holocaust Assets, and David Whitman, of U.S. News and World Report. This office of the U.S. Government retained the profits earned on works created by residents of the Axis power nations during --and after-- World War Two, in order to keep those funds out of the hands of the Nazis.

Subway Showdown
Block -- Let the games begin. The Subway Series between the New York Yankees and the New York Mets begins tonight. NPR Melissa Block reports on how both the fans and players are preparing.
Subway Series Preview
Lost amid the hype and hoopla of the Series is the game itself. Scott speaks with Weekend Edition's sports commentator Ron Rapoport about how the teams stack up.
