McLean County airport bill nears final passage in Springfield
A bill that would change who pays property taxes to support the Central Illinois Regional Airport is one step closer to final passage. The bill, SB 684, passed the Illinois House on Wednesday. It now moves to the Senate.

Celebration of life set for former Normal Town Council member Parker Lawlis
Parker Lawlis, who served for 25 years on the Normal Town Council, died recently at the age of 88. A celebration and visitation is scheduled for May 20 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.
