The court overturned two rape-as-accomplice convictions against Warren Jeffs, saying the trial judge misstated the law in his jury instructions. Jeffs was charged with facilitating the rape of a 14-year-old by "marrying" her to a 19-year-old.

Lawmakers concerned over Pontiac prison downsizing plan
The state agency that runs Illinois prisons said it wants to cut the inmate capacity at the Pontiac Correctional Center by more than half. That comes as the aging facility in Livingston County has infrastructure needs and as the overall state prisoner population is falling.
