Budget Roundup
Jacki talks to NPR's Brian Naylor about the lastest budget cuts in Congress. Last week House appropriations subcomittes cut $7.2 billion from non-military domestic programs such as low income housing and nutritional programs for pregnant women and children.
Recision Decision
NPR's Elizabeth Arnold reports that the Senate this week took up a 13 billion dollar spending recision bill. The House has passed a bill of 17 Billion. Arnold reports on the differences between the bills and that President Clinton says he will veto the House version.
Battle for Control
NPR's Brian Naylor takes a look at one of the most important Pennsylvania House races. Patrick Casey's running against an aggressive one-term Republican Representative, Don Sherwood. It's one of the races to watch in the battle for control of the US House.

Whitewater
The Senate Whitewater committee has been questioning White House and personal lawyers for President Clinton about whether the administration improperly shared inside information about the investigation with the Clintons' private attorneys. NPR's Jon Greenberg reports that the White House has denied it got improper information and that it tried to hinder the investigation.
Budget Negotiations
NPR's Brian Naylor reports on the continuing tension between Congress and the White House over the budget. Although President Clinton offered to cooperate with Republicans, he's likely to veto two bills the House just passed. The provisions fall way short of what the President and Democrats wanted.

Fbi And China
The White House and FBI remain at loggerheads over the handling of information that China might be trying to influence U.S. elections with campaign contributions. The White House insists the FBI kept the President uninformed, but the FBI says there was no restriction on the information. NPR's Mara Liasson reports.
