Crime, Corruption Killing Guatemalan Bus Drivers
In Guatemala, bus drivers are being gunned down at an alarming rate. The hazardous situation on Guatemala's buses is a result of a confluence of corruption, crime and poverty. The Guatemalan government pays millions of dollars a year in subsidies to bus owners, yet the battered vehicles on the streets are mostly old school buses from the United States.

Bloomington and Normal collected more than $9.1 million in food and beverage taxes last budget year. That's up 29% from 2019.
Southern California residents are forced to evacuate as the Highland Fire rages
Located outside the city of Temecula, the blaze is currently about 2,500 acres in size but only 15% contained, officials with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said.
