Iraq Missiles
The sporadic fighting that continues in the air above Iraq flared again today as US planes struck anti-aircraft artillery installations and surface-to-air missile sites in northern Iraq. And Pentagon officials today admitted that some of the weapons used in last week's mission landed well off their targets. From the Pentagon, NPR's Tom Gjelten reports.
Smoking Lawsuit
The state of Massachusetts won a settlement worth more than $7 billion from tobacco companies to cover the cost of treating sick smokers. But the state has also continued to seize assets from the families of those smokers to cover the cost of Medicaid payments. Attorney Louis Massery filed a class action lawsuit against the state on behalf of the families of dead smokers, accusing the state of double-dipping. Noah Adams talks with Massery about the suit.
3,900 bottles of scented room spray recalled over rare bacterial infections
A scented room spray has caused a cluster of rare bacterial infections in the South and Midwest. 3,900 bottles of the room spray are being recalled, and users are being warned to bleach their sheets.
