Pilot Union Strikes
Joshua Levs of member station WABE reports from Atlanta on day four of the Comair pilots strike. Pilots for Delta Airlines, who also threaten to strike, are watching the Comair negotiations carefully. The Comair and Delta pilots share an issue: they insist that pay and benefits for pilots at regional air carriers should be comparable to those at major airlines.

Human Cloning
NPR's Joe Palca reports on the resurrection of the cloning debate in Congress. The controversy goes back to scientist Richard Seed's 1997 announcement that he planned to clone a human before federal regulations could ban the practice. Now, a Kentucky organization wants to offer cloning as an alternative to infertile couples.

Campaign Finance Reform Bill
Host Renee Montagne talks to NPR's Steve Inskeep about the remaining obstacles to Senate passage of the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform bill. A vote on the measure could come late today or tomorrow. A compromise reached yesterday would raise the ceiling on 'hard money' contributions, while keeping the ban on 'soft money' donations in place. Non-aligned Countries

Representatives of 33 countries that belong to the movement signed a resolution condemning the pending lawsuit filed by major drug companies in an attempt to prevent South Africa from importing generic AIDS treatment drugs.

Germany Questions US Kyoto Stance
NPR's Don Gonyea reports from the White House that German Chancellor Schroeder is expected to question President Bush today on his decision to back away from the global warming treaty. Germany and other U.S. allies in Europe support the Kyoto Treaty, which the United States hasn't ratified.
