Across the state of Florida, the political chess match that will determine the nation's 43rd president became ever more complicated today. A federal judge in Miami allowed the hand recounts of the presidential ballots to proceed. Hours earlier in Tallahassee, the Florida Secretary of State said the final deadline for the county canvassing boards to certify votes would be tomorrow at 5 p.m. The state Attorney General and a state court will review that decision.
