Dorothy Parker's Journey Home To New York City Is Finally Over
The writer and civil rights supporter died in 1967. Her ashes spent years in a filing cabinet and at NAACP headquarters. Her family this week held a service at Woodlawn Cemetery in The Bronx.

7000 Year Old City Under Black Sea
NPR's Alex Chadwick reports that marine explorer Bob Ballard has found evidence of a 7000 year old human settlement under 300 feet of water in the Black Sea. Ballard believes the civilization was flooded after melting ice age glaciers caused the Mediterranean to surge over its banks and flow into what was then a shallower lake. The discovery could shed light on the biblical story of the great flood.

Many residents had just finished a morning of festivities and were leaving church in Chernihiv, north of Kyiv, when a Russian missile struck the city's center, heavily damaging a theater building.

The museum has put together an exhibition of modern art pieces that are meant to be enjoyed by humans and dogs. Only four dogs are allowed to enter at a time, and the dog must be on a leash.

NYC firefighters protest at the mayor's home over vaccine mandate as deadline looms
Firefighters and other municipal workers are protesting New York City's vaccine mandate, which takes effect Monday. If they don't have at least one dose by Friday, they will be put on unpaid leave.
