Kristi Cirone received the MVC Jackie Stiles Award for three consecutive seasons from 2007 to 2009.

Kristi Cirone was the league's three-time Jackie Stiles Player of the Year in women’s basketball (2007 to 2009). She and Stiles are the only two players ever to do that.

Now Kristi Meade, the Chicago native also led the Redbirds to three national postseason tournaments in 2007 through 2009.

Cirone deflects all the praise to her coaches and teammates.

“I think that I am getting these awards because of all the support and everything that happened at Illinois State, because of my coaches and my teammates and everything that we did collectively there,” Cirone said.

Cirone added everything she learned at ISU has helped her in her career as a high school teacher and coach.

Cirone served as head coach at Judson University in Elgin for six seasons. She coaches and teaches physical education at Ridgewood High School in Norridge.

Cirone will be inducted on March 8 at Stifle Theater in St. Louis during the MVC men’s basketball tournament.

She becomes ISU's 13th inductee into the Valley's Hall of Fame.
