In a public unveiling, the university unveiled the memorial bench and posthumous degree in honor of Carol Rofstad. Her murder is still unsolved after over 50 years.

McLean County officials and representatives from Moxxy gave a joint press conference Tuesday, Sept. 30, identifying Linda Haddad as the unidentified person found in rural McLean County in 1982.

Linda C. Haddad died by suicide Feb. 2, 1982, and authorities were not able to identify her using forensics of the time. The McLean County Sheriff's Office partnered with a nonprofit who uses DNA and genealogy to help identify victims.
