Early Voting

The McLean County Clerk’s Office, which oversees voting through the county outside of Bloomington, and the Bloomington Election Commission [BEC], will offer early voting at their offices at the Government Center on weekdays Feb. 5 through March 16 and on the weekends of March 7-8 and 14-15.

Bloomington voters will have an extra location to vote early for the upcoming election, for just one day next week.

Both the Bloomington Election Commission and the McLean County clerk’s office say they are seeing strong turnout for early and mail-in voting ahead of the Nov. 5 election.

Early voting begins Thursday in McLean County and across Illinois. Voters can cast their ballots from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays for the next several weeks, at locations in Bloomington.

More than 13,000 McLean County voters have cast ballots ahead of next week's election.

According to the Bloomington Election Commission and McLean County Clerk's office, more Democrats have taken out more vote-by-mail ballots, but Republicans have been using the in-person early voting option more frequently.
