McLean County COVID Hospitalizations Stable; 82 New Cases Added

The McLean County Health Department reported 82 new coronavirus cases on Thursday.

McLean County's COVID-19 hospitalizations remained stable as the county added 82 daily coronavirus cases on Thursday.

The McLean County Health Department (MCHD) said 22 McLean County residents are hospitalized with COVID. Carle BroMenn and OSF St. Joseph medical centers report they have 30 COVID patients under their care. Both numbers are unchanged since Wednesday. The hospitals report 92% of their intensive care beds are occupied and 95% off all beds are in use.

The McLean County Health Department announced 82 new coronavirus cases on Thursday.

MCHD said 543 people in McLean County are isolating at home, while 81 people were released from their time in quarantine overnight and 19,794 people are considered recovered from COVID-19.

The county's testing positivity rate rose to 4.3% and its cumulative positivity rate stands at 4.7% based on more than 438,500 tests conducted since the start of the pandemic.

McLean County has reported 245 COVID-related deaths since the pandemic began.

COVID vaccines

There have been 180,067 COVID vaccine doses distributed in McLean County, according to data from the Illinois Department of Public Health. The county’s rate of fully vaccinated inched up to 52.2%. The state vaccination rate is 53.1%.
