The number of McLean County residents in the hospital with COVID-19 continues to drop sharply.

The McLean County Health Department (MCHD) reported Friday that 24 McLean County residents are being treated for COVID-19. That's down nearly 60% since Monday.

MCHD public affairs coordinator Marianne Manko said that data comes from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). She said some discharge data can be delayed “a day or two,” especially when numbers are high.
