Bloomington Police: Gunfire hits an occupied residence early Tuesday

Bloomington Police are investigating a second report of shots fired in as many days.

Bloomington Police are investigating a report of gunfire hitting an occupied home early Tuesday morning. It's Bloomington's second shots-fired report in two days.

Officers were called to the 300 block of DeVille Drive in south Bloomington around 4:50 a.m. Tuesday. Police said they found physical evidence of a shooting, and that the circumstances behind the shooting are under investigation.

BPD also handled a shots-fired call shortly before 8 a.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Orchard Road on the city’s east side.

Police said no injuries were reported in either incident. BPD said no suspect information was available.
