Connect Transit has restored additional routes during peak service times.

Connect Transit is restoring additional routes during peak service times.

The public transit agency reduced peak service on most of its weekday routes last fall because of a driver shortage, but general manager David Braun said Connect Transit has recruited and trained enough drivers to restore the service.

“We are committed to maintaining the level of workforce needed to continue operating the scheduled services Connect Transit provides to our community,” Braun said.

The blue, purple, aqua, orange and silver routes have returned to 30-minute service during peak hours in the afternoon and early evening — approximately from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. The yellow route has returned to 15-minute intervals for the morning and afternoon commutes — from 8-11 a.m. and 3-5 p.m.

Weekend service was unaffected by the reduction.
