District 87 is seeking applicants for a vacancy on its school board.
The Bloomington public school system has an opening following the recent resignation of Fitzgerald Samedy.
Samedy resigned after he was convicted on drunk driving charges for a fourth time. Samedy was sentenced to McLean County Veterans Court.
The district will take applications through April 7.
The seat on the seven-member board is for a two-year term, expiring in April 2025.
The school board also has three open seats in the upcoming elections. Four candidates have filed for those seats.
