A 62-year-old Bloomington man is in custody following an early August shooting that left another person injured, according to police.

Bloomington Police said in a news release they arrested Stanley Scott of Bloomington on Friday afternoon in the 100 block of Northfield Drive in Normal without incident.

Police said an investigation into an Aug. 7 shooting on West Grove Street led to issuing multiple warrants for Scott on Thursday.

Although the arrest was made without incident, BPD's release notes multiple agencies were involved, including the BPD Street Crimes Unit, SWAT, Crisis Negotiation Unit and the Illinois State Police.

Scott had been wanted on multiple charges of armed robbery with the discharge of a firearm, aggravated battery with discharge of a firearm and with a deadly weapon, destroying evidence and manufacture/delivery of "1-15 grams of cocaine," according to a news release.

In a statement, BPD Chief Jamal Simington called the incident "a great example of the work BPD does, from the initial responding officers to the teams responsible for safely taking the suspect into custody."
