17-year-old injured in Bloomington shooting

The Bloomington Police Department is investigating circumstances surrounding the shooting of a 17-year-old Thursday afternoon.

In a news release Friday, BPD said officers were dispatched to a shots-fired report in the 1000 block of West Market Street around 3:43 p.m.

Officers reported finding a 17-year-old male with gunshots wounds to his legs in the area.

Bloomington Fire paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital; the injuries were reported as not life-threatening.
