Authorities said Devin C. Williams, 28, of Normal, died from multiple injuries when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pickup truck.

Bloomington Police say a man from Normal was killed in a motorcycle crash Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to the intersection of Center and Bissell streets shortly after 7:45 a.m., following a report of a crash in which a motorcycle hit the side of a pickup truck, according to a joint news release from Bloomington Police and the McLean County Coroner’s Office.

Police said the motorcyclist, Devin C. Williams, 28, was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities said Williams died from multiple injuries.

“The loss of life is always tough to experience for family and friends, as well as for our officers,” Bloomington Police Chief Jamal Simington said in a statement. “A reminder to all users of the highway system, always practice safe and responsible driving habits.”

Bloomington Police said the crash remains under investigation by the department, the coroner’s office and the McLean County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team.
