Michael Trotter Jr., left, and Tanya Blount of The War and Treaty perform during CMA Fest on Saturday, June 8, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee.

The War and Treaty has scrapped a planned stop next week at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts.

The Grammy-nominated power duo was scheduled to appear on Aug. 25 between tour stops in Dayton, Ohio, and St. Paul, Minnesota.

The engagement also was intended as the BCPA's 2024-25 season kickoff.

In an announcement on social media, BCPA blamed the cancellation on a schedule change, stating it hopes to host the group at a future date. The BCPA will issue refunds to all ticket holders; patrons should call 309-434-2777 with questions.

Ben Folds — who was scheduled to appear before a nearly sold-out crowd at the center last week — has rescheduled his Paper Airplane Tour for Nov. 3 after testing positive for COVID-19.

Tickets have been transferred to the new date; those wishing for a refund must call the box office within 30 days to request a refund.
