A former McLean County corrections officer faces 2 ½ years probation after an alleged sexual relationship with a jail inmate.

McLean County prosecutors reached a plea agreement with Samantha Beck, 22, of Bloomington.

Beck was fired in June after what the sheriff's office described as a "possible inappropriate relationship" with an inmate at the McLean County Jail.

Beck pleaded guilty to a felony charge of official misconduct. Prosecutors dismissed a felony charge of custodial sexual misconduct in the plea agreement.

Beck also was ordered to under a mental health evaluation, according to the terms of her probation.
