Police in Normal have arrested two people in connection with a weekend shooting incident.
Callers reported several shots fired in the area of Lincoln and Beech streets about 5:47 p.m. Saturday. Officers said they found evidence of a shooting, but there were no injuries or reports of property damage.
The Twin City Tiger Football program said in a Facebook post after the incident that shots were fired near the team's game on Saturday.
After an investigation, officers arrested 37-year-old Alphonzo T. Davis of Springfield, and Dewayne J. Farris, 31, of Normal.
Davis faces two charges, aggravated discharge of a firearm and possession of a weapon by a felon. Farris faces one count of disorderly conduct.
