Holly Wayland-Hall takes over as executive director of the Community Health Care Clinic [CHCC].

Wayland-Hall has worked in nonprofit leadership for 23 years, according to CHCC. She most recently served as executive director at the Village at Mercy Creek, a nonprofit extended living facility in Normal.

“After months of extensive searching across the Midwest, we were amazed to find Holly living right in our own backyard,” CHCC board president Jami Mathy said in a news release.

Wayland-Hall starts in the new role Tuesday.

“I look forward to joining the dedicated team at the clinic in honoring our mission,” she said.

The Community Health Care Clinic provides care for the uninsured and is funded through grants and donations. Its previous executive director, Mike Romagnoli, left in January after nearly 20 years with the clinic.

The clinic’s nonprofit status was temporarily suspended last year for multiple years of failing to file federal tax returns.

Sonja Reece has been serving as the clinic's executive director since January.
