The city of Chenoa has issued a boil water order following the water main break on Monday.

The city of Chenoa in northern McLean County issued a boil order under further notice on Monday following a water main break that forced the city to shut down its water tower, according to a Facebook post from the city.

Chenoa made the water main break announcement around 12:30 p.m. Later on Monday, the city announced that water service had been restored.

"Thank you everyone for your understanding! The City guys worked very hard to get the water restored as quickly as they could," the city said in an updated post.
